Enjoy drinks in the bar or on our wide veranda, watching the sunsets all the way to Cape Point across the bay.

There is something for everyone who visits Glen Craig, even if its just enjoying our hot sun with cool breezes off the Atlantic ocean in summer, or enjoying the spectacular wildflower show in the cooler months.

Swimming in the river mouth is warm and safe, and surfing is also popular at the beach.  Many divers, rubberduckers and kayakers visit Pringle Bay for a breakaway weekend.

There are many different types of hiking routes in this area. One is the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens hiking route, which is approximately 9km from Pringle Bay en route to Betty's Bay. Hike in the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, although on certain trails permits are needed for day hikes, or along the beach, where you can walk to the lighthouse and Moonlight Bay.

oystercatcherThe Mountain Bike trail through the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve is a total distance of 36 km, and is highly recommended for fit nature lovers with lots of endurance.

Bird Watching is very popular in Pringle Bay. Interesting species that frequent the area are the African Penguin, Flamingo, Egyptian Goose, Guinea Fowl, Kingfisher, Sunbird, Cape Francolin, Black Eagle, Black Cormorant, and the African Black Oystercatcher. The beach at Pringle Bay is a breeding ground for the Oystercatcher, and the nests are fiercely protected by the locals.
